Entry Level Requirements
PAIDMI’s entry-level requirement is successful completion of an accredited apprenticeship program. This ensures trainees possess a base level of practical skills and some experience in their chosen field.
Foundation Level Focus: The first level, regardless of the chosen training duration (one or two years), is dedicated to building essential foundational knowledge and skills:
- Literacy and Numeracy: Develop proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematical calculations relevant to technical applications.
- Computer Literacy: Gain foundational computer skills for effective online learning and use of technology in industrial settings.
- Introduction to STEM: Explore core concepts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, forming a strong foundation for further technical learning.
The First School Leaving Certificate (F.S.L.C) Exams: Successful completion of the foundation level is marked by internal evaluation and passing the F.S.L.C. exams. Thus, demonstrating a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, computer literacy and basic STEM principles, preparing them for success in the subsequent levels of the PAIDMI curriculum.
